My first major essay in English 105 was a hypertext essay. I chose to write about and article about drugs that help people concentrate. My audience was my fellow classmates, my teacher, and anyone on the web who may be interested in my topic. My hopes in writing this essay were to bring attention to these dangerous drugs that are accepted in our society and may soon be legal. I would think anyone who is against these drugs would like my essay, but I also think anyone who wants to learn more on this topic would find it interesting. Before I read the article by Kaplan and Gellene I had no idea that people were taking drugs to help them stay focused. I guess it really wasn't a shock to me though since drugs are taken for various other things.
I think my essay was well organized but I had wished that I could have made it better. I normally have a problem with grammatical errors and I didn't feel I had enough time to do as many drafts as I would have liked to. If I would have had more time or technical knowledge I would have liked to play with the background of my essay and definitely make it more advanced with graphics and all. That would have been fun. I am glad that I had enough time to at least place a few pictures in each background.
I enjoyed reading the articles about the drugs in the first article we were assigned to read in class. I liked doing the research. It is a very interesting topic to me, especially since I'm going into a health profession. I'm also excited about doing the research on my next essay. Still not positive which topic I'm going to chose but I can’t wait to start. I hope to improve my writing skills and my computer knowledge this semester. I've already learned so much and I have so much more ahead with this next essay. I know Rebecca is looking forward to my many stupid questions:)

I've think you've come a very long way since the beginning of the semester.
We'll have more time with the multimodal essay, and plenty of time to draft. This is why I asked for a very rough draft during Spring Break (it wasn't because I wanted to be mean!).
Okay, I just read this again....what stupid questions??
You didn't ask any stupid questions, and you won't ask any stupid questions with the Multimodal Essay, either.
